Sovereign Class Starship

20 Years commissioned starship in starfleet

As the Commanding Officer of the USS Black Hawk, NCC-75004-A, I welcome you aboard. We hope you find your stay on the Black Hawk to your liking.

While on board please visit the areas designated to your left to find a wide range of items aboard this starship, including our primary roster, a history of the chapter and a visit to our Starship Exchange for your Black Hawk-A items, among other things.

The Year 2014 was an exciting year for the Officers and Crew of the Black Hawk-A as we hosted the members of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc., for our 40th Anniversary Celebration during the 2014 International Conference, which was held at the Clock Tower Resort here in Rockford from August 8th - 10th, 2014!

2015 marks the 20thYear of existence for the Black Hawk-A since our establishment in Henderson, Tennessee on February 28, 1995, which started with the Shuttle Shiloh, NCC-1881/04, USS Shiloh, NCC-74683, Intrepid Class Starship, USS Black Hawk, NCC-74683, Intrepid Class Starship, USS Black Hawk, NCC-75004, Sovereign Class Starship and now the USS Black Hawk, NCC-75004-A, the Black Hawk Variant (Sub-Class) of the Sovereign Class Starship.

In 2016 the Officers and Crew of the good ship Black Hawk-A will not only be celebrating our 21st Birthday of our founding but also the 20th Anniversary of the Commissioning of the USS Shiloh as a Starship-of-the-Line (Full Chapter of STARFLEET) at MidSouthCon 15 in Memphis, Tennessee on March 23, 1996!  Then comes the Star Trek 50th Anniversary celebration and the anticipation of the New Trek movie, STAR TREK BEYOND, in July, as well as the new Star Trek TV series in January 2017!

We have two mottoes, “Fortune Favors the Bold”, which was the motto of the US Naval Vessel USS Black Hawk, MHC-58, and was adopted as the Black Hawk's motto in 2001. The second, “Looking to the Past in Order to Seek the Future”, was the motto of the USS Shiloh, NCC-74684, and the successor starship USS Black Hawk, NCC-75004, which most of this starship's previous crew served. We take both these mottoes to heart and hope you will take the time to examine these cherished mottoes as well as the history of our chapter.

We are looking forward to the future of our chapter and of the community we are part of.  We invite you to contact us if you are interested to explore the Final Frontier.

May the winds be at your backs...

Admiral Jeffery Higdon
Commanding Officer
USS Black Hawk, NCC-75004-A
